[edit] Variants
There are many variants to the Mizou. Mizous can be done in the following ways;
[edit] Sweatstance
A topside mizou, where the leading foot is placed in the 'topside' position, with the face of the frame being placed on top of the object as opposed to the soul plate. More recently, the term 'Sweatstance' has been used to describe farside mizous in addition to topside mizous.
[edit] Kindgrind
An alleyoop topside mizou, or alleyoop sweatstance. This trick is essentially the same as a 'Sweatstance', but is done 'alleyoop' which is a grind performed backwards.
[edit] Mistral
A mistral grind is a mizou with the trailing foot sliding on the backslide plate, with its H-block touching the heel of the soul foot.
[edit] Misfit
A misfit is an alley-oop topside Mistrial. The Misfit is similar to the Kindgrind in every way except the H-block foot is set in the torque position, sliding on its backslide plate.
[edit] Oreo
The Oreo is an inversion of the Biscuit grind variant of the soul grind, the difference being that the trailing foot is twisted outward 180 degrees, sliding on the positive soul plate. This is quite a difficult grind and requires the skater's legs to be flexible.
