Miyako

There are a number of places in Japan known as Miyako.
- Miyako, Iwate, a city in Iwate Prefecture
- Miyako-jima, an island in Okinawa Prefecture
- Miyako language, the Ryukyuan dialect spoken on Miyako Island and other nearby islands
- Miyakojima, Okinawa, the political entity (Miyakojima City) which encompasses Miyako Island and other nearby islands
- As miyako (都) means "capital" in Japanese, it can also be an archaic term for any of Japan's former capitals, most frequently Edo or Kyoto.
