Miyū Sawai

Miyū Sawai (沢井 美優 Sawai Miyū?), born on October 23, 1987 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan is a Japanese model, actress, and idol. Her hobbies include baking, talking with friends, and reading. Her blood type is A and she is well known for her down-to-earth and silly sense of humor.

Her first major television role was the title character of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Usagi Tsukino. Her role was as the heroine of the world. She also played Youko Kimura in Kids Wars 5 and played Shun Sugita in the internet short movie Shun (Season). She did her first big movie role in a Japanese horror film Chain 2. She also once did commercials for Tokyo Disney Sea and computer software company IchiTarou 12 (Just System). She was also the voice actress of Noah in the Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa movie.

Sawai's was once a regular model for Love Berry magazine & has modeled for many other popular Japanese magazines such as Mewmew and Up to Boy. She also has her two own photobooks Myu and Kiss and has appeared in other idols and photographers photobooks.

Sawai has released eight idol DVDs. The DVDs usually concentrate on her modeling and contain bonus features. Her most recent DVD was titled "Fresh,re:fresh" released on December 20, 2006 and her best selling DVD was titled "Perfect Collection".
