[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Gucci Mane.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gucci Mane.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
[edit] Big Herk
Hi. Not only did the article lack content, it was already voted "off the island" in an articles-for-deletion discussion. - Lucky 6.9 03:57, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
I understand, but if the subject has been deemed as unnotable, there isn't much that I can do since I'm bound as an administrator to block "problem" titles. Tell you what: I'll unblock it, restore it, add an "under construction" template and let you have at it. - Lucky 6.9 04:03, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Glad to help. You're all set. I'll add an alert message on the talk page. - Lucky 6.9 04:06, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Big Herk, Rock Bottom Entertainment, and others
I've noticed quite a few of the pages you've created have been deleted or nominated for deletion. I'm actually trying to clean up some of the Detroit-based Rapper pages so they make a better case for meeting WP:MUSIC, WP:BIO, and WP:LOCAL and are not deleted or tagged for lacking verification. I'm also trying to get some of the formatting fixed so they are more in line with what a Wikipedia musical act page should look like. That said, you seem to know alot about this topic, so I could use your help with sources. For example, I added an info box to Big Herk, but I can't find any information about what his birthdate is, so if you know of a website, etc that has his birthdate I'd like to add it. Also, if you know of other Detroit-based rapper pages, mention them on my talk page and I'll try and clean them up. Hopefully these can be fixed up so they don't get deleted anymore.--Isotope23 15:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of DJ Young Mase
An editor has nominated DJ Young Mase, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DJ Young Mase and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Jayden54Bot 15:45, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Stlrolleescover.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Stlrolleescover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Bigherk.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bigherk.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 03:20, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Platinum masterpiece album.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Platinum masterpiece album.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Geniac (talk) 17:06, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Chic Raw
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Chic Raw, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Prodding articles
Hi. Thanks for proposing for deletion several articles, such as GG Records and The Truth Hurts (mixtape). However, you seem have copied and pasted the text including the timestamp which has made the expiry date of the prod come out wrong (it's supposed to be five days after the time you add the tag). Don't worry, I've fixed the templates on the pages, but please if you prod any further articles, just use {{subst:prod|your_reason_here}}, and the system will expand it to the correct format. Hope this helps. —SMALLJIM 15:57, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
