[edit] Hello from Cor

Hi Mitch- well done on the school building - but don't forg't your edit summaries! I almost didn't notice what you had just done

[edit] Augustinian Category

Cor Unum oops - I asked for a category "Augustinian School in Australia" (too narrow)- when it should have just been "Augustinian Schools" (like the rest of them). Are you an admin who can fix that category for Villanova and St Augustine's?

[edit] Competition Houses

Mitch - are you a recent student? When I was in the College (1970's) the Colour Houses also competed in debating, performing arts and music - but I notice you have re-edited what I wrote to say it is only sport. Is it only sport currently?

[edit] Taa

I like what you've done too. I've spoken with Mike Endicott OSA and Paul Maloney OSA (last week) to let them know what we have been up to on wiki - and sent them the links. They have this wiki site on their list of things to bring up with the school administration. I'va also sent emnails to the other English speaking Augustinian schools in the USA and Malta to encourage them to improve their wiki entries.

G'day. It is admirable to ask people if they would like to become members of the project. However, when people are writing about themselves or their own actions, they must always follow the policy that Wikipedia is not a soapbox. As long as people write with a Neutral point of view and verify their additions by Citing Sources, then it's a positive addition. I'm sure there will be no revert wars but i just thought i'd put it on the table that when people who have a vested interest in certain articles are being asked to contribute they must be told of the of the paramaters in which the community works.

Have a good one, Jpeob 01:28, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mining in Australia is the new ACOTF

Hi. You voted for Mining in Australia for Australian Collaboration of the fortnight. It has been selected, so please help to improve the article in any way you can. Thanks. Scott Davis Talk 13:40, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cool

Cool = but I'm bnot sure I am right on this. I was sort of interested to see who you are since we ahve both been working on this article- that's why I asked. It can remain a mystery until some other time. What's your profile? My youngest brother (of 4 brothers I had at the school) was Rodd who finished in about 1989 (last of us at the school). He's just had his first son.

[edit] Rugby Union

Hi, I noticed that you reverted my image change at the top of the Rugby Union article. I've got no problems with that, but I would like to ask how you think the current picture is better at showing the differences between union and league than my change. Surely a dive pass can be performed in either code? Thanks. Alexj2002 16:41, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your detailed response, however whilst I now agree that the old image is a better choice having read it, I'm still not sure it's a good image. There's too much going on in the background, and the people having a picnic doesn't make it look like a professional game. It'll have to do until a better image comes along though. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Alexj2002 09:31, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Staugustineslogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Staugustineslogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:55, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Lecetto-arts-centre.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Lecetto-arts-centre.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Loopla 09:02, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Staugustines50thyearlogo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Staugustines50thyearlogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:24, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
