Mitzpe Hila (33°02′N, 35°13′E; Hebrew: מצפה הילה‎) is a communal settlement in the western Galilee hills region of northern Israel, located near the Lebanese border. It is part of the Ma'ale Yosef regional council. The small, green village is a popular retreat for Israelis seeking bed and breakfasts or rental cabins [1]. Nearby towns include Ma'alot, Nahariya and Karmiel.

In the 1990s, Katyusha missiles fired by Hezbollah landed in Mitzpe Hila.[2]

Mitzpe Hila is the hometown of Corporal Gilad Shalit, who was captured by Palestinian militants on June 25, 2006 at the age of nineteen. Cpl. Shalit's family was one of the founding members of the community.[3]
