Mithi is a town in Tharparker District, Sindh province, Pakistan, located 300 kilometers from Karachi. The town is located in a beautiful desert area. Mithi is the headquarters of Tharparker District. The population of Mithi town is about 50 000 and it has one union council. The nazim of UC is Matoo Ram Maharaj (a Brahmin) and Naib Nazim is Tilokchand alies Amar Odadni (a scheduled caste Meghwar). Matoo Ram Bhagat is also "Gadi Nasheen" of Hardas Bhagat Duara, the largest believers point present in Mithi of Thaarparker Distt:
Mithi has a very fine picnic point, "Gaddhi", a 300 feet sand dune at the western side of town. Mithi is the starting point from where desert start.
