Mitchell ("Mitch") Ivey (born February 2, 1949) is a former backstroke swimmer from the United States, who won the silver medal in the Men's 200m Backstroke at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico.Four years later in Munich he captured the bronze medal in the same event.
He was also a notable and highly successful coach for the University of Florida women's swim team in Gainesville, Florida, and Trinity Aquatic Team, in Orlando, Florida.

Mitch Ivey is one of the most respected coaches and has coached teams such as the Episcopal Amberjacks at Episcopal High School of Jacksonville, Florida.
