Mitchell Hurwitz

Mitchell Hurwitz is an Emmy-winning American television writer and producer. He best known as the creator of the critically-acclaimed television sitcom, Arrested Development as well as the co-creator of The Ellen Show, and a contributor to The John Larroquette Show and Golden Girls. He is a graduate of Georgetown University.

His most recent project is a US television adaptation of the UK comedy show The Thick of It. The series was in the running for ABC's 2007-2008 season, but was not picked up.[1] Other networks, including HBO, Showtime and NBC, have expressed interest in the show.[2]

In 2008, Alia Shawkat (Maeby Fünke from Arrested Development) confirmed that a feature film adaption of the series is in the works, with Mitchell currently writing a script.
