Mitchell Clark (born October 19, 1987) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

He was recruited as the number 9 draft pick in the 2005 AFL Draft from East Fremantle. Mitchell made his debut for the Brisbane Lions in Round 1, 2006 against Geelong but his debut season was significantly hampered by injury problems, in particular osteitis pubis.

Clark played his first game in 2007 in Round Nine against Collingwood after overcoming his injury problems. His five goals in that match earned him an AFL Rising Star nomination. [1]

[edit] Positions

Mitchell Clark's usual/preferred position is Full Forward, but is able to play as Ruckman, Centre Half Forward, Half Forward Flank and Rovering Forward . He has been regularly playing as a Half Back Flank for Brisbane Lions (especially against Fremantle on Round 11, 2008)due to many players such as Daniel Bradshaw, Anthony Corrie, Rhan Hooper, Lachlan Henderson, Jared Brennan, Travis Johnstone and Jonathan Brown all able to play on forward line. In near future, he will most likely to play Full Forward for Brisbane Lions.

He had career high 16 disposals and 12 kicks for Brisbane Lions against Fremantle on Round 11, 2008.
