Mitchell Shannon Berger (born on June 24, 1972 in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada) is an American football punter who plays for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Colorado, began his NFL career in 1994 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He subsequently played with the Chicago Bears, the Minnesota Vikings, and the St. Louis Rams, before joining New Orleans in 2003. On November 29, 2007 he signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

Perhaps his best seasons coming as a member of the Minnesota Vikings in the late 1990s. He was most noted for his booming kickoffs, which often sailed into the end zone for touchbacks, afterwards, he would take a bite of his Snickers bar that he kept in his spare shoe on the sideline.

Berger attended North Delta High School in Delta, British Columbia and was a letterman in football, basketball, and volleyball. In football, as a senior, he won All-Provincial honors as both, a kicker and as a punter, and was also the team's starting quarterback and top defensive back. In basketball, he won All-Provincial Honors. Mitch Berger graduated from North Delta High School in 1990.

He is also the cousin of famous Winnipeg Manitoba high school basketball coach Kyle Mikuluk.

Berger attended Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas and won honorable mention All-American honors as a sophomore.
