[edit] Consensus
I find the argument that this page goes against an older consensus to fly in the face of Wikipedia:Consensus#Consensus can change. We are not bound by precedence here. If people want to argue why the page is wrong then that will do far more for your case than simply saying there was an old consensus against something similar. It means nothing when the current consensus is supporting the pages existence.
I am not objecting to such lines of argument, I am just saying they are not compelling in the least. 1 != 2 19:22, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, consensus can change, but shouldn't that be done at WP:WBE? The arguments against the page are identical to those presented, and accepted, at the wiki-space page. This particular discussion is confounded, however, by the reactions to MickMacnee being the nominator, and the huge BC cloud hanging over the wiki. Franamax (talk) 20:06, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
But consensus has not changed at WP:WBE, it has here. That alone demonstrates how different the two pages are. I agree that the issue has been needlessly confounded by the current situation of the author, the nominator, and similar page's past controvery. 1 != 2 04:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
