[edit] Wikipedia:Wikipedians against Citizendium
Appears to completely misunderstand both the status of Citizendium and the point of free content. Beyond that, as Citizendium is entirely an outside venture, it is patently inappropriate (and likely to get us quite rightly pilloried by the press) for Wikipedia to host a movement against it. Let's nip this one in the bud. Kirill Lokshin 00:47, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - This page seems to spring from a misconception that Citizendium is a Wikimedia Foundation project or is within Wikipedia in some way, which it is not, rendering the first two points invalid, while the third objection is not viable because the GFDL specifically allows forking. This is only going to attract trouble and spread the above misconceptions. -- Mithent 01:08, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete I agree with the objections of Kirill and Mithent. Quaerere 01:13, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- Delete, absolutely pointless page. We should be encouraging cooperation with them, not the contrary. Titoxd(?!?) 01:49, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete what seems to be the product of a misunderstanding by the creator. --Rob 01:55, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete It is sad that this page started out of the creator's misunderstanding of the GFDL and the origin of Citizendium, and I hope he won't take this MfD too harshly. That said, such a project page creates more negativity and tension than I could tolerate.-- danntm T C 02:15, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Speedy delete as unrelated to Wikipedia, and therefor not right for the Wikipedia namespace. JesseW, the juggling janitor 02:55, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: Did anyone ask the user if they understood what they were trying to create? I can't see any discussion in his talk page or the WP talk page to this effect; you probably could have gotten an author-requested speedy out of this with a little more dialogue. That said, Delete as soon as possible, but the lack of basic attempts at communication here bothers me. -- nae'blis 08:15, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
