[edit] Wikipedia:Wikipedian of the day
Hasn't this sort of thing been rejected in the past? At any rate, I don't see how this benefits the project. More likely to create cliques and rifts if left around --W.marsh 00:36, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's a nice thought, but the last thing we need is more reason for people to try to become more popular without thought for improving an encyclopedia. Delete. (ESkog)(Talk) 02:20, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not trying to become popular, just promote the Wikilove. Rlest 09:52, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- User:Phaedriel has been running something like this on her userpage for several months. It's a different story to make it into a Wikiproject, though.
- Delete while its a nice idea, making it this formal could make it a big deal. User:Phaedriel has been doing something very akin to this, but it's not as formal. And even if it was, we don't really need to of them. I (said) (did) 04:33, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Comment If deleted, there are a number of new WOTD-specific templates that have been created in the last day or so, such as {{Template:WOTD Welcome}} - they will need to be deleted, too. Grutness...wha? 06:51, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Userfy I've moved it to User:Rlest/Wikipedian of the day (as the creator) and requested them userbox, user banner and category be deleted, I have left {{Great editor}} as I intend to continue using that and left the {{Wikipedian of the day}} as I still intend to use it in the userspace, could an admin please close this as userfy is complete.
