[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject no anonymous editing
This is an inappropriate WikiProject. From Wikipedia:WikiProject: A WikiProject is a collection of pages devoted to the management of a specific family of information within Wikipedia. It is not a place to write encyclopedia articles, but a resource to help coordinate and organize article writing. Wikiprojects should not be forums for advocacy, nor petitions. They are for writing articles and managing the encyclopaedia content. Advocacy can easily be carried out in userspace, if it must be carried out. This is an abuse of the project namespace. - Delete, per nom, and anything that actively discourages productive editing deserves to go away.--Sean|Black 01:25, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
- Delete as above. I note that anon editing is a Foundation issue and a WikiProject is the wrong way to deal with this is you really want to see it, and I think having this project is damaging to the community. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 01:27, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

- Comment: why is this a Wikiproject? Why isn't it a proposed policy page? If it were, there would be no problem in a group of editors arguing to ban anon contributions (I would oppose it, as I suspect would most, but they could argue for it if they wanted). David | Talk 20:45, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
