Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikify/Page wikified/template script is a template in project space (which the instructions at WP:TFD say should be discussed here). It places a rather large banner onto talk pages saying that "editor x" from WikiProject Wikify has been along to wikify the article. It also transcludes a (currently empty?) todo list. The template is transcluded onto more than 100 talk pages. I suggest we nip it in the bud by deleting it now.

I think it should almost go without saying that janitors leaving behind banners like this is a very bad idea. It would create a huge amount of talk page clutter, and isn't very useful. Pretty much the same affect can be achieved by leaving a link to the WikiProject in the edit summary, as I believe the disambiguation people do.

Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikify/Page wikified is the instructions page for the template. It of course becomes redundant if the template is deleted. --kingboyk (talk) 17:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

• Delete Most articles have been wikified at some point. It'd be overkill if we had one of these tags any time anyone did a non-trivial task on an article. Like Kingboyk says, use the edit summary for promotion. –Pomte 02:19, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
• Delete we don't need individuals and projects to loudly announce that they've been editing a page. The page's edit summaries should be enough. - Koweja (talk) 06:15, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
