[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject WikiRaid
I propose that this WikiProject be deleted for the following reasons:
- Inactivity. This project, founded in October 2005, has been effectively inactive since November 2005 (see history). Its creator has been inactive since February 2006 (see [1]), leaving the project with only one member.
- Scope. The scope of the project is to organise "challenges to add as much content to Wikipedia as possible in short amounts of time". I think focusing too much on the quantity of content, rather than its quality, is a mistake. Before lapsing into inactivity, the project organised one "WikiRaid", which resulted in the creation of 12 new articles, of which 4 were subsequently deleted as copyvios. This project could be useful in countering systematic bias on Wikipedia, but I believe such efforts are better organised by country- or topic-specific WikiProjects, who will have a better grasp of which articles need to be created. I am also including in this nomination the following related page:
- Delete all as per nom. John Carter 19:06, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- Tag as historical. I don't think MfD is the appropriate process here; perhaps you should have tagged it as historical and asked on the talk page? There's no reason to delete it, anyway, if it can be tagged as historical. --Deskana (fry that thing!) 13:45, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- As the project has been inactive for nearly 1.5 years, I don't think a comment on the talk page would have done any good. Also, I considered tagging the project as {{historical}}, but really see no reason to preserve every unsuccessful collaborative attempt made on Wikipedia, especially since this one never involved more than 2 people. -- Black Falcon (Talk) 18:20, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- I guess my point is that if you mention it on the talk page and don't get a response you can assume it's safe to be tagged as historical. --Deskana (fry that thing!) 19:16, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

- Delete, nothing of value to keep. I would not object to a historical tag. -- Ned Scott 01:33, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
