[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Wii
Created in January, has no real content and no real activity since then, and scope of project is already covered by several other extant projects. Creator of the page is being notified of this discussion. John Carter (talk)
- Delete - Has only a single edit by a single user, prefindex shows no other pages, and whatlinkshere shows only itself, this discussion page, and the talk page of the user (presumably through the notice mentioned by nominator). In other words, nothing historical worth keeping, although the page might be worth a redirect to WP:NINTENDO. --jonny-mt 14:03, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- I agree there is noting that I can see this doing anything that WP:Nintendo and WP:VG could not do. --76.69.167.119 (talk) 23:35, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - and redirect to WP:NINTENDO...--Cometstyles 05:58, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep everything that's nominated for MfD. Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 17:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep or Merge. Sometimes a project will start and nothing happens for a while. Easily, two months may not be enough. Nominating for MfD wastes time that is much more valuable than the disk space taken up. If we want to tag projects as "dormant," fine. But don't kill it in its sleep. By the way, I don't agree with Mbstpo, not all MfDs are inappropriate. But many are, and pure wiki deletion would handle all this with much less fuss and generally no admin time. (If there are better pages already in existence, then Merge/Redirect is an ordinary editorial solution requiring no special process.)--Abd (talk) 20:54, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- Delete For it to be dormant/inactive, it would have had to be active at some point in the past. Mr.Z-man 01:35, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Comment Obuibo Mbstpo, let me remind you that this isn't a vote, it's a discussion. On the topic of the discussion itself, I'm not sure if the project has any scope beyond what WikiProject Nintendo already has. Now, is it still plausible to have such a project? Yes it is, but given how weak the project is right now, is it necessary for this project to exist? Just a thinking point for everyone, as I don't know my answer to that question myself.
