Wikipedia:WikiProject Indifference to Fictional Content (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)

I propose that this WikiProject be deleted for the following three reasons:

  1. Inactivity. The project page has not been edited since November 2006 (see [1]). The project was tagged as inactive in February 2007 and no one has contested for 2.5 months.
  2. Scope. The scope of this project is entirely redundant to other existing and active projects, including WikiProject Video games, WikiProject Deletion, and Wikipedia:WikiProject Trivia Cleanup.
  3. Controversy. The title of the WikiProject is controversial as Wikipedia is not entirely indifferent to fictional content. For further discussions about controversy, see the talk page.

The members of the WikiProject are active, but I do not see the need to work through a WikiProject that, by its title alone, generates unnecessary controversy and conflict, particularly when other overlapping projects exist. Black Falcon (Talk) 00:46, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

  • keep and cleanup as a needed project to clean up and filter the endless rising tide of cruft and unsourcable material, provided they refactor to sound less combative and more collaborative. Wintermut3 01:42, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
