The result of the debate was Keep. A basis for deleting a WikiProject is inactivity and consensus is that the project is active. Jreferee (Talk) 07:26, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject East Carolina University
Since this project was createed in February, 2007, it has gotten no additional members. Propose that this page, and the other project related pages, including Template:WikiProject East Carolina University, be deleted. The assessment categories could presumably be redirected to Wikipedia:WikiProject North Carolina and/or Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities. Project creator is being informed of this discussion. - I am the project creator. What can I do to save this page? I have never been in this position before. Thanks, PGPirate 00:05, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

- The main problem is that in six months this project has got no members apart from the creator. If you get some more members and get the project going properly then there will be no reason do delete it. Hut 8.5 08:18, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

- Alternately, it might work better as a task force of either Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities and/or Wikipedia:WikiProject North Carolina. You might contact either group to see if they would be willing to take it on as a subproject. John Carter 16:41, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Delete This wikiproject covers too few articles. Move it into Wikipedia:WikiProject North Carolina as a task force if you want to keep it. ~ Wikihermit 16:20, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

- Comment - from the existing categories, there are a maximum of 175 extant articles in the Category:East Carolina University. John Carter 15:22, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Do not delete I agree that this is too small a field for a Project and with only one member there isn't much to argue for, but the WikiProject Guide says that if you pick too small a topic you risk becoming inactive and somewhere we suggest that even a one person project is possible if it remains very active - we do not suggest that one can get deleted. This editor is actively editing in the projects topic and elsewhere - in other words this is an active project with too small a scope. It should become a Task Force, but we shouldn't dictate that. WikiProject Council should assist this project in converting to a task force of an appropriate project, if the member agrees. Remember folks, projects are geared to editors not readers, and they don't have much effect on anyone who isn't involved in them. That's why the guidance on this page says projects are rarely actually deleted.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 02:56, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
