[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Commonwealth of Nations Numismatics
This Wikiproject has a single member, and so far has amounted to nothing more than a list of articles that they intend to create. The single member has also claimed to "own" the page, and protested violently when it was moved to match the Manual of Style - the Commonwealth of Nations, in his opinion, should be refered to as the "British Commonwealth", a 60 year old name for a different organisation entirely.
The page should be, at worst, user-space converted - its used by one person. However, I'd prefer straight deletion - its being used a POV vehicle - a number of the articles on that list refer to entities which have never been in the CoN, for instance. Kiand 16:48, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
- comment - not that it's directly relevant... this single user has fallen foul of all sorts of WP:OWN and similar policies in the past... Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Aidan_Work may be instructive. Grutness...wha? 23:44, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Some of the articles listed have actually been created by the project's single participant, but he rejects the contributions of other editors. This is not a useful collaborative WikiProject. FreplySpang (talk) 02:48, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. This project has relevent articles that will be reincorperated into Wikipedia:WikiProject Numismatics. There is no other instance of say WikiProject American Numismatics. At the time he choose to start this project, I let him be because he was takin on things no one else seemed to care about. As no one else really cares about it, it should be deleted and relevnt articles should fall under Wikipedia:WikiProject Numismatics once again. I did not agree or endorse most of the moves he made, I just wasn't willing to entangle myself in a war. Joe I 03:57, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
WeakDelete: Above comments all make sense. Note in particular that the creator uses the first person: "I decided...".Weak delete because somebody might come along later who wants to work with the creator. On the other hand, since all the content can be incorporated in Wikipedia:WikiProject Numismatics, deleting this will not be a loss. Maybe no integration is needed if the articles can be checked for proper categories. Most of the links are empty, corresponding to the ambition of the creator. Hu 23:12, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

- No merging needed: I have looked over the page, and there is no information on it that needs integrating. The page consists only of lists of articles, mustly red links, proposed by the erstwhile ambitious Mr. Work. It never was a proper project according to the usual standards attained by Wikpedia projects. Hu 20:17, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- News: The sole member of the project, Aidan Work (talk ยท contribs), has been indefinitely blocked. Hu 16:01, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
