The result of the debate was Speedy Userfy per discussion with creator; this page was created in good faith, but in the wrong namespace. It can now be found at User:Darkside2000/What the Wikipedian saw, and I've deleted the redirect (per standard practice). WaltonOne 18:51, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:What the Wikipedian saw
- Delete. Utter rubbish, nonsense created by a mischievous editor. WWGB (talk) 14:16, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Userfy. It isn't a nonsense page; I see what he's trying to do (viz. write a collective story about the experience of a newbie on Wikipedia). However, it isn't really appropriate for projectspace, though it isn't the creator's fault that he didn't know that. (As an aside, the nomination is needlessly WP:BITEy. "Utter rubbish" and "mischievous editor" are not helpful or constructive remarks. It would have been more helpful to explain civilly to the creator why the page isn't appropriate in projectspace.) *Userfy - Maybe not particularly useful, but a lot of userpages aren't, and maybe in time it could get added to the Signpost or something. John Carter (talk) 17:27, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - The creator has sent me a message apologizing for the page, and indicating that it was intended to be a part of the Wikipedia:Department of Fun. I have left a message on the talk page there notifying them of its creation. Only if they find it unacceptable do I think deletion would be called for. John Carter (talk) 18:04, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
