[edit] Wikipedia:Userboxes/Funny
- List of "funny" userboxes that is just a waste of time and space. Delete. SushiGeek 21:36, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- DRV Notice, This debate has been restarted due to irregularities that has been raised in deletion review. I have no opinon on this matter. - Mailer Diablo 17:40, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- What "irregularities"? This sort of seems like a waste of time ... as if we're valuing process over product. I think the outcome of this Mfd is inevitable and it shouldn't have been brought up again. --Cyde↔Weys 17:47, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Of course, you could always read the DRV discussion before remarking. In this case, the debate was closed by a new editor during his first days at WP, a time during which he also involved in puppetry in other debates. Pretty serious process lapses there, I hope you'll agree. Xoloz 17:55, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

- Keep or take down BJAODN and the rest of Category:Wikipedia_humor with it, like I said last time. —Andux␅ 18:26, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. As long as there are humorous userboxes, they might as well be kept on a list. --TantalumTelluride 20:15, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

- Delete per Jimbo Wales' comment: "The pages which list userboxes, in the template namespace, make it seem as though putting these things on userpages is a normal and accepted community behavior, when in fact it is not." --Cyde↔Weys 03:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

- Cyde, please note that you are quoting Jimbo somewhat out of context. In the quotation you mention, "these things" does not refer to userboxes in general, but more specifically to those userboxes which are used for the purpose of political or other advocacy. This means that the templates "User Boris" and "User Two Jags" should be deleted, and in fact, I couldn't agree more. But I am not aware of any opinion expressed by Jimbo about userboxes for expressing humour. My own opinion is that humorous userboxes serve a legitimate purpose, but I agree that there are too many of them. More than 100 is excessive, but I don't see an agreeable solution.
