[edit] Wikipedia:The Last Word
It's an humorous essay full of sarcasm, but the author refuses to use the {{humor}} tag on the top (like WP:ABF, for instance), apparently to avoid spoiling the joke [1]. I believe it would be dagerously misleading to tag it with {{essay}}, as new Wikipedia readers accessing this page will not have the background to understand Wikipedia-editor's inside-jokes.) Currently, the page is using a "customized essay tag", but if this is not going to be tagged neither as {{humor}} nor {{essay}} (neither {{policy}} or {{guideline}}), I don't believe it should stay on Wikipedia: namespace. - Delete or tag as {{humor}} or move to User: namespace per my nomination. --Abu badali (talk) 00:22, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. MfD is not "Tag this how I want or I'll get it deleted". What you are in is a content dispute, and MfD is not the place to resolve content disputes. -Amark moo! 00:29, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- WTF?? Speedy close this as patent nonsense and/or trolling This is just tag-a-mania. Not everything needs a tag. I've put this is Category:Wikipedia humor. It is a self evident joke. it is taged with a customised tag that says: It is not a policy or guideline, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of anyone, probably not even its author. How the fuck is this "dagerously (sic) misleading"???? Poppycock!--Docg 00:31, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy keep, no valid reason given for deletion whatsoever. You lose an edit war over the placement of a silly tag and your response is just to try to get the whole thing deleted? Ridiculous! --Cyde Weys 00:35, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
