[edit] Wikipedia:Naming conventions (provinces)
This page should be deleted as Wikipedia:Naming conventions (subnational entities) handles provinces. But both pages are inactive and have been retained for historical reasons. So one inactive page conflicts with another inactive page leading to Wikipedia policy confusion. Wassupwestcoast 13:27, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Comment If they're both inactive then where is the confusion? YDAM TALK 14:29, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. Both pages are marked as equally inactive, so any confusion would come from someone missing the inactivity tag; that's not a good enough reason to delete. Any future attempt to tackle this area of our naming conventions should have access to all of the previous work on the subject; that's a very good reason not to delete. — Gavia immer (talk) 15:08, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Gavia immer has a good point. Just make sure to have at least "See also" links redirecting to each other. hmwith talk 20:09, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Gavia immer. Both are inactive and both have a historical tag on them, but the reason provided in the nom. isn't sufficient enough to warrant deletion. nattang 08:16, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- Keep per Gavia. The page might be historically useful for reviewing past arguments and observing prior agreements. The tag should prevent any confusion, so it's essentially harmless. — xDanielx T/C 05:57, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Keep as per Gavia immer and XDanielx above. --Kralizec! (talk) 05:04, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
