Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Listcruft

The result of the debate was speedy close, Farix et al is right - MfD is not for merge proposals. Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages#Proposing a merger details how to propose merging two pages, and any concensus-achieving discussion should take place on the talk pages of the two "Wikipedia:" pages. MfD is not the place to do such a thing. Daniel.Bryant 06:53, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Listcruft
This page is just an extension of Wikipedia:Fancruft. It could easily be incorporated into it. Such a small part of a topic doesn't need a whole page to itself. Bowsy 19:17, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Comment Wouldn't it be better to merge and redirect? Indeed if it were to be incorporated in to another page the redirect would be needed to comply with the GFDL. YDAM TALK 20:47, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep Separate, do not merge. I do not see "Listcruft" as the same as or an extension of "Fancruft", and from reading both it appears they have their distinctions. Many lists referred to as "listcruft" have nothing to do with fan-oriented matter, and articles referred to as "fancruft" do not necessarily have to be in list form. - Comment Merges are editorial decisions that don't require deletion nomination. Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 21:25, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - The article is bad, but not that bad. When in doubt, keep. YechielMan 00:10, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy close WP:MFD is not the place for merger proposals. --Farix (Talk) 02:17, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Strong keep. This is not an extention of fancruft. Listcruft is lists based on entirely arbitrary and unneeded criteria such as List of people who wear socks. -Amarkov moo! 02:27, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
