[edit] Wikipedia:Fiction noticeboard
Non-official "noticeboard" with no members, no guidelines, no stated purpose, and that has already shown itself to be in favor of hijacking legitimate debates. As another editor points out, this is just a place for two individuals to stage attempts to influence debates and discussions (canvassing & vote stacking). See the talk page for a more comprehensive discussion. /Blaxthos 16:25, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. Such things are very bad for Wikipedia. --Deskana (fry that thing!) 19:17, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per above. Bearian 20:24, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Neutral. The concept of having a noticeboard for events that would effect all fiction-based articles is a decent one, since they are spread across so many Wikiprojects. This incarnation of it looks more like an attempt to build a voting block than anything else though. --tjstrf talk 20:45, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. In addition to the other concerns, this is simply too broad of a topic for a noticeboard. -Amarkov moo! 23:40, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per my comments noted by the nom. Even without that concern, more often than not we can divide a fictional discussion into basic areas such as TV, novel, policy, etc, all of which already have areas to discuss. Adding another discussion page could have the effect of spreading discussion out too much, with users not sure which page to post to, and some discussions possibly being unnoticed by other interested editors. -- Ned Scott 01:03, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete unused and unrealistic board. WooyiTalk, Editor review 01:54, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete the topic is way too broad, plus the concerns of nom are legitimate. JuJube 04:21, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete retaliation for Wikipedia actually being subject to *gasp*copyright law*gasp*! Just an invitation to votestack and attack. Can not be anything useful, and while I know its not in article space, it is somewhat similiar to a POV fork. -Mask? 17:43, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per Blaxthos, Wooyi, and Mask. east.718 05:23, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
