The result of the debate was SPEEDY KEEP. We don't delete proposed policies failed or otherwise. Perhaps this should be an essay (discuss that on the talk page), but MfD is not the place to discuss a move to meta. Nomination is invalid since the nominator isn't suggesting deletion anyway. -Docg 19:57, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Deny recognition
This is a failed proposed policy. However, it appears to be taken as an essay, which is either inappropriate for Wikipedia or should be moved to meta. Anyway, putting to Misc for deletion to see what the community thinks. - Ta bu shi da yu 18:29, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Keep frequently cited, although I agree that this doesn't have the general applicability which would be expected of a policy, doesn't mean that it is never ever applicable or has absolutely no support. I doubt anyone disagrees the encouraging vandalism is a bad thing, which is the primary intent (IMO). --pgk 19:04, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Additionally the normal thing to do with failed policy proposals is to mark them as such, not delete them. --pgk 19:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Second additionally, this was only marked as failed in the last 12 hours, I'm sure there is a healthy debate to be had as to if it is better as an essay or could still be worked on to make a viable policy, but proposing for deletion this quickly seems somewhat premature. --pgk 19:37, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
