The result of the debate was Delete. The consensus holds that, though a well-intentioned idea, this page replicates several existing processes, and is more likely to cause confusion than to aid the encyclopedia. Xoloz 16:38, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Article in Construction
This page was created by a new user, seemingly for the single purpose of getting support in writing an article on scientific beliefs, which was quickly deleted. The page is otherwise unused. To have such unused pages is potentially confusing, and messy. ssepp(talk) 21:51, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Comment. Being created for a bad reason, and being unused, doesn't necessarily mean that this wouldn't be a good thing to start using. I'm not saying that it isa good idea, but that decision should be made on its merits, and not why it was originally created. -Amarkov moo! 00:31, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete If the page is inactive, a user might stumble across it and expect someone to help with there article. Other resources, such as Wikiprojects, are better suited to fulfilling this need. YechielMan 04:25, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete I agree with YechielMan, as I do not see why this page is needed. It doesn't seem that any other users would find this helpful except for the editor who created it. hmwithtalk 06:38, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. While it is a nice idea, there are already several channels to use for these purposes, and creating one more causes a dilution of efforts. There is Requests for feedback and Peer review, for general comments, as well as WikiProject reviews for subject-specific feedback. Then, there's help with particular issues offered by the League of Copyeditors, the Graphic Lab, etc. There's just no hole for this page to fill. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 06:44, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Comment I created this page for wikipedian's, and I asked people to help me place links so people can find the page. If you believe that no bodies gonna help edit pages placed on this page, then why don't you and other's place some links for this page, so other's can find it, and you can be there to edit it, and so other's know there's people there to edit, I can place a new headline there with the name of helpers. All I need are good links so people can find it, and helpers {like you all} to help edit the pages. Oh, and I deleted scientific beliefs.

- Redirect Sounds like the creator is looking for a page where they can get help creating and editing. There are such places on WP, Wikipedia:Help desk might be suitable. —Gaff ταλκ 19:29, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: I'm not looking for a page, I want to create a page for those whose looking for a page where they can get help creating and editing, and making the page helpful and a very certain way. }}

- Comment: If you feel that someones gonna stumble across it and believe that someones gonna help them, then I'll put a sign on it saying that the project is not open, and won't be untill a specific number of helpers enlist (in the helpers enlisted headline) to help the articles, and if a good number of links are placed down, then some helpers can find the page and enlist.
§→Nikro 22:52, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Comment The note is in place, so noone should place any articles on the site till 12 helpers sign up to help complete articles. So hold off the deletion please.

- That's not the problem... the issue here is that there already are those places. I listed them up above. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 05:44, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- For creating, there's Wikipedia:Articles for creation. For expanding, there's Category:All articles to be expanded. For rewriting, there's Category:Wikipedia articles needing rewrite. –Pomte 10:24, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
