[edit] Wikipedia:Anti Vandalism Unit
Odd "organization," doesn't seem to do anything different than the Counter-Vandalism Unit (and was actually initially created in articlespace) and has soccer players in it for some reason. Rory096 05:07, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete Seen a lot of these popping up lately... funny how the page itself got vandalised. Master of Puppets FREE BIRD! 05:10, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- That's not vandalism, the creator did that. --Rory096 05:14, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

- Delete. Similar to the CVU not only in concept but in name (at least be more original!). Organized unusually. Also, as MoP said, a lot of organizations similar to CVU have been popping up lately. Kalani [talk] 05:53, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

- Delete. Looks like a joke to me. It was created by a vandal account - couldn't this be speedied? --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 12:24, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete, nonsnese. --Terence Ong 13:37, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Why delete rather than merge and redirect? What is actively harmful about this effort? Rossami (talk) 13:57, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect? First of all, there's little to merge but a table of soccer players. Second, nobody's going to type "Wikipedia:Anti Vandalism Unit" into the search box, so a redirect will do little good. This is just one of many recent copies of CVU because it's "fun" or "cool," I suppose. --Rory096 17:52, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Redirects are useful for more than just supporting the search engine. They also point users to the proper place for their contributions. Why not be bold and redirect them rather than wasting all the time processing an XfD nomination? (You're probably right that there wasn't anything worth merging in this one...) Rossami (talk)

- Delete, and create a redirect in its place, per above. By the way, are they really happy to take anyone on an overseas holiday? --bainer (talk) 07:13, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
