[edit] User talk:Jim Apple/deeceevoice departure
It is highly unorthodox for userspace pages to be listed for deletion, but I don't feel there is any other option in this case. This page rises dangerously close to the level of a personal attack, and is certainly inappropriate for any namespace on Wikipedia. It is bad enough that so much discord has sorrounded the RfAr of deeceevoice, but to actually have a betting pool on when her last day will be is completely beyond what any Wikipedian should be doing. I was tempted to speedy the page and issue a disruption block to the creator, but instead assumed good faith and gave him the opportunity to request its deletion himself. He has opted not to do so, and thus I am listing it here, and raising the issue at AN/I to consider a block. I hope the community will put a quick end to the latest chapter of an already disasterous situation. DELETE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE. — Essjay · Talk 06:17, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've tagged this for speedy deletion as "Well, just a really bad idea." Someone please delete it and take it straight to WP:DRV or WP:ANI. - brenneman(t)(c) 06:19, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- There is no betting, so there is no betting pool. I also think that there is nothing derisive about dcv on the page. (as of now.) I never call her a name or say she's a bad editor or a bad person. Jim Apple 06:23, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. Amounts to a personal attack. -Will Beback 06:32, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- dcv even said "Talk about it somewhere else". I just set up a place for it! [1]
- I have speedy deleted the page. It's an attack and a disruption. -- SCZenz 06:37, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
