Essay on user's talk page. User has two such essays in article space up for deletion at AfD here and here. Seems to be using account only to publish original research and is now doing so in his userspace. Fails WP:SOAP, WP:OR, WP:NOT#OR. Redfarmer (talk) 10:43, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Delete and instruct the user on proper use of user space. I would have suggested simply blanking if it weren't for the outstanding AFDs on similar things he has posted in the mainspace. WP:NOT#SOAP, WP:NOT#OR. --Coredesat 11:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Strong keep. Essay = bad. But this is a user talk page and has other stuff on it. I blanked the essay. The page is now no longer objectionable, and serves another legitimate purpose. The user page on the other hand has no other purpose. Mangojuicetalk 04:29, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Comment: The only other things on the user's talk page are notifications of the AfD and MfD discussions and a note by Mangojuice about OR. The user has not responded to notifications about the AfD and MfD discussions, suggesting they're probably not coming back to Wikipedia, and Mangojuice's comment can be easily cut and pasted. I would like to see this deleted to purge the page history and leave no trace of his OR. Redfarmer (talk) 08:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Why isn't blanking sufficient? The essay was obviously cut and pasted from some other document, since it showed up in whole cloth in the first edit, so the user clearly isn't storing it here, even in the page history. So this isn't a WP:NOT#WEBHOST issue. Mangojuicetalk 02:56, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
