[edit] User:WikiMan53/Sig Ideas
Well, with respect to the User but he/she seems to be obsessed with his signature and getting Autographs, he has been warned for spamming User talk Pages asking for signatures to his autograph book and I came across this page, clearly no-one is going to post here and its totally inappropriate for Userspace.Tellyaddict 18:36, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Delete; while it is perfectly acceptable and precedent to have pages indicating sig history for the interested (how one's sig has changed over the years... maybe months), pages asking for community suggestions is a bit too far removed from the function of an encyclopedia. - Keep People are telling me my sig is so ling and I don't know how to make it shorter. Therefore I need help with it. If I get one good sig I will put {{db-author}} WikiMan53 (talk) (click here) fix-a-sig Review 20:40, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Here's an idea: forget about your damn signature and actual do something worthwhile. John Reaves (talk) 20:46, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Comment There you go. You can db-author it in peace now. It's a good, efficient signature that doesn't take up an extreme amount of space. Metros232 20:47, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Strong delete → We are supposed to build an encyclopedia, not to spend our time thinking about signatures and autograph but. Let's write new articles! Snowolf (talk) CON COI - 21:09, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Deleting this subpage will help the author reduce the length of his sig by removing the fix-a-sig bit. –Pomte 23:49, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Strong delete. Hopefully this will wake this editor up to the importance of doing something useful. I'm just a vandalism reverter; anyone can do that. Why not give that a try, WikiMan? Anyway, see WP:NOT#MYSPACE. ➪HiDrNick! 00:53, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Comment. Regardless of the merits of having him do something useful, this is not the way to go about forcing him to. -Amarkov moo! 03:53, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per edit history - insufficient recent article contributions. Addhoc 17:45, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Delete Sorry man, but we are here to build Wikipedia, not to be like myspace. Æon Insanity Now! 18:59, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Comment - following the comment above, everything that would ordinarily show up "black" on this page below the comment is now green. Any ideas why? John Carter 19:48, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Fixed. When Aeon1006 changed above he missed a font color HTML tag. Metros232 19:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Strong Keep. I don't understand how this is at all related to MySpace.. The user contributes plenty and his signature is used on many talk pages. His little sig page was created to make his signature shorter as per above. It is harmless. And he is contributing to the encyclopedia in many ways including improving his signature. Domthedude001 20:00, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Comment Considering the user's last edit to the main space was March 19, how exactly is he improving the encyclopedia? Metros232 20:10, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Neutral - Ordinarily I support users' privilege of keeping whatever they want (within reason) in userspace, but this page seems a little pointless. There's nothing wrong with the user's existing signature IMHO, and I'd be happy to design a new one for him on request, as would plenty of other users. Even so, I can't quite bring myself to vote Delete on a userspace MfD. Walton Vivat Regina! 16:13, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Comment I was trying to ask users to help me make a smaller sig because many admins were suggestng I do so and I aked John Reaves and rudely he said: No. Contribute to the encyclopedia. I was trying to do what people told me too. As you've seen above John has been kind of rude when I am trying to be good. I have starred out part of his offensive comment. - Keep This user is just trying to improve his sig because people are always telling him to shorten his sig. Also he has been contributing by asking questions and encouraging and helping others. Partyhatunicorn 22:14, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Keep Page absoulutle harmless Read8910 22:18, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Keep, perfectly harmless subpage. Also he appears to be using it in a very constructive way responding to previous sig complaints. JohnnyBGood t c VIVA! 23:03, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Delete Despite the fact that this is harmless, it violates WP:NOT. RogueNinjatalk 23:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
