[edit] User:VP Clan
- Non notable gaming clan, doesn't at all comply with WP:USER in anyway. Attracts some vandalism. User has been mainly contributing to this only. Andeh 16:31, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - it's just a vanity article in a username space: they link to it from their homepage as a 'Wikipedia entry'. The page contains possibly copyrighted material from their site- the rankings table, for example- which they haven't specifically released for public use as far as I can tell (not that anyone would want to use it, though!). - how does it contain copyrighted material, i made it myself Lordcain 20:02, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- There's no assertion/proof that you have permission to take the content from that website.--Andeh 21:23, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Delete but in a polite way. I think this user doesnt quite understand what userspace is all about. A chance to copy to there own website would be good. ---J.S (t|c) 22:21, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- According to the contribution history, this user has so far made exactly one edit to the article-space. The bulk of all other edits have been to the userpage. The remainder have been to a few other users' Talk pages. We allow latitude in the userspace for good editors who are making positive contributions to the encyclopedia. I'd like to see at least a little bit of evidence from the user that he/she deserves the benefit of doubt here. If the contribution history remains unimproved, delete. - I agree, contributors to Wikipedia usually do spam their own userpage with links to their own websites and sometimes more, but it's allowed and I suppose is one of the 'qwerks' that comes with being part of wikipedia. But users who appear to have only registered to edit their userpage and not contribute anywhere else aren't helping wikipedia at all.--Andeh 23:59, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per User:Martinp/Userpage deletion. It sounds like that they first made an article which was rightly zonked. Then they effectively userfied it; so far so good. But I sense the goal is to be able to say "we have a Wikipedia entry" rather than to work to improve it to become article material or temporarily save it while they are looking for hosting somewhere. Hence on the balance, Delete. Martinp 15:57, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Note - The User seems ok with having the prior content gone. I believe it is appropriate to consider this case closed for this reason. If they are ok with contributing under this username, and hopefully eventually make a proper userpage, I don't see any reason for this MfD to continue. --Improv 00:02, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
