The result of the debate was keep; this discussion is now moot as the content in question has been removed by the user, and the MFD discussion has degenerated into the nominator and the user tossing accusations at each other. --Coredesat 03:53, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User:UnitedPakistan
The user and his page is solely about promoting a real estate company somewhere in Pakistan. The page contents are neither about the user nor are they relevant to Wikipedia, and almost all the user's edits are about adding external links to the company's website or promoting the company's works in construction. See this, here and several examples from his limited contributions, a third of which is about his page. Notified user yesterday, but he removed it from his talk page. --Idleguy 02:36, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Strong delete as advertising, but would be better if the user remove it himself. WooyiTalk to me? 02:56, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
This is a non-issue as the user profile is being used as a sandbox...I already had a discussion with a staff member about how the sandbox was not working well for me...This issue has been brought up by this Indian member because of the nature of the company that is commited towards Pakistan. And the links were added because the original information was taken from us! If you want to remove the links remove the entire articles!UnitedPakistan 04:59, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please don't try to make it sound like I'm an anti-Pakistani editor, just because I'm an Indian, when I was merely pointing out the inappropriateness of such content on user pages. Talk about the issue, not the person. Thanks. Idleguy 05:44, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
When it comes to Indians and Pakistanis the person must also be brought out because there will always be a bias. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kargil_War UnitedPakistan 14:44, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- You assume so because, perhaps you have a bias and expect others to have the same. The Kargil War is a WP:FA, so I don't know what you're trying to prove, except that I always add with reliable sources and a conflict of interest occurs with others that don't do the same? For the record, I haven't done a witchhunt against any Pakistani editors' userpages so, stop trying to project this as a petty India-Pakistan clash. You were violating policies and even deleted my polite request on your userpage not to. Don't have pre-conceived notions that "there will always be a bias"; not everyone shares your bias. Idleguy 02:52, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
One only needs to see your comments on the Kargil talk page to understand your pathetic bias. We should talk about how you had to import coffins and bodybags for Kargil.UnitedPakistan 02:40, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please no Wikipedia:No personal attacks on other editors calling them pathetic etc. "Comment on content, not on the contributor. If you have a gripe about Kargil War, mention it in the talk page of the relevant article. Stop attacking me, just because I reported you for violating the policies. Idleguy 02:49, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Say what you want but you know it's true.UnitedPakistan 20:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- The only truth is you are taking it personally and were found violating WP policies by advertising for the company in which u have a stake, while abusing others on articles that were peer-reviewed by the WP community as the best, just because I showed that most of your edits are about the realty co.
