[edit] User:Tony1189
Vanity article masquerading as a userpage. User has only made two edits outside his userspace; one was to WP:CHU and the other to Talk:1989. -Jéské (v^_^v Detarder) 06:08, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. Yeah, this is a jokey vanity article. But claims like "user has only made two edits outside his userspace" need to be made while acknowledging that he has only been editing since yesterday. Don't bite the newcomers. Mangojuicetalk 05:16, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Both the edits outside the namespace were to, in order, change his account name to the article subject's name and try to add the subject's birthdate to 1989. -Jéské (v^_^v Detarder) 05:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep and put the teeth away. Vanity is given much more leeway on userpages. - Peripitus (Talk) 11:35, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep nominating someone's userpage for deletion the day after they start editing is not going to convey a positive impression of Wikipedia to this user. Hut 8.5 20:57, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. Gosh, I wish WP:BITE had some teeth. It (evidently) needs to be made extremely clear somewhere that we should not treat new editors this way. Wikipedia:Editors matter. --JayHenry (talk) 01:54, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. At least this is in User space where it belongs. Give Tony a chance to mature and do some good work in Wikipedia. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:04, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
