[edit] User:Tdxiang/Subject to Change, User:Tdxiang/Subject to Change/Pictures
This page is an advertisement for the user's school film production. Consists only of a blurb about the film, and external links to the actual film and its blog. Delete as Wikipedia is not a free web host.
I am also nominating User:Tdxiang/Subject to Change/Pictures for this MfD - this also violate WP:NOT. (If this page is deleted, the closing admin should consider deleting the images used therein, these are not used in any other page.) Kimchi.sg 12:20, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. Now, it is just meant to be an article. Yes, an article. However, the creation of such an article would contribute to vanity in the main namespace. Vanity is not tolerated and has to be subject to an Afd. So, it is much better to place it in my userpage.-- 陈鼎翔 贡献 Chat with Tdxiang on IRC! 13:37, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: You have not addressed why this page should be considered relevant to your Wikipedia activity (as Wikipedia:User page states). Kimchi.sg 13:59, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. Even in userspace, it's still a big vanity page, and wikipedia is not a free web host. Move this page and its pictures to geocities. --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 14:02, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Keep, this is an article in progress and there is no deadline on when the article has to finish and migrate to mainspace. It is not vanity. Move it to my userpage then, I am not a student in the school nor involved in the movie, but wish to work on the article. --Vsion 18:04, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: Firstly, if these two pages are supposed to be an article draft, why does the user say he is reluctant to move them into article space? Secondly, User:Tdxiang/Subject to Change wasn't edited by the user after end-March [1], while the pictures page wasn't edited after 3 February. [2] While it is okay for real article drafts to sit in userspace unedited as long as the user wishes, these two details suggest that the pages are virtually finished and are meant to reside in userspace indefinitely as-is. - Delete, is an article and used as such, just in userspace. There even used to be a cross-namespace link from Fuhua Secondary School to this page, and on the film's blog page, it is referenced as "the film's Wikipedia article". As it won't ever be notable enough for mainspace, it is not a valid article draft and so violates WP:NOT a free web host. It should be hosted elsewhere, a link to this from Tdxiang's user page will then be fine. Kusma (討論) 20:41, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Keep this is an article under construction and should be moved to Main namespace upon completion. --bdude Talk 02:49, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

- I am of the opinion that if it is decided that this is an article (namespace notwithstanding), then the usual discussion ought to take place on VfD or AfD or whatever it's called this week. robchurch | talk 11:53, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Delete, WP:VAIN, Wikipedia is not a free web host. Not an article at all. --Terence Ong 13:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
