[edit] User:StewieGriffin!/WikiDesign
This is pretty much a copy of WP:UPDC, and we don't need another one... and after all, Wikipedia is about editing articles, not about users having fancy pages (yes, I know that may sound hyppocritcal!). Also, would it not be easier to simply expand WP:UPDC rather than making a brand new one? BG7even 11:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Unlike, WP:UPDC, you can place a request here. StewieGriffin! • Talk 11:58, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- So why don't we make that happen? Also, Wikipedia:WikiProject User Page Help appears to do the same thing. BG7even 11:59, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Note: I'm not getting involved with this, but this seems to do more than userpages. In my opinion they should all go, but this appears to be a central hub - a mix of all design projects on Wikipedia. If we only keep one, I suggest this one...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 12:02, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, this is design for images etc. aswell. StewieGriffin! • Talk 12:05, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- But isn't it easier to simply expand an existing one rather than have yet another one? I will work something up in my Sandbox using all the best, and MfD the rest. BG7even 12:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- So what you're saying is, you are allowed to create one, but we are not! StewieGriffin! • Talk 12:22, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- No. I am say that I will modify existing ones to create the best possible one, and the propose it via the talk pages of all the existing ones. BG7even 12:24, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Indirectlu, you are saying that to many users are getting involved. And you are not? Why not notify the creators and let them merge it with others. StewieGriffin! • Talk 12:29, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Also, you are using examples of userpage design projects. We offer userpage help, but we also do images etc. StewieGriffin! • Talk 12:31, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

- Delete per the reasons I laid out at User_talk:StewieGriffin!/WikiDesign#Why? and User_talk:Daniel/Archive/65#Design_page. It duplicates the functions of numerous other projects here and it has familiar function and organization as the Wikishops that were deleted about half a year ago. Metros (talk) 12:33, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- This has nothing to do with the WikiShops, however, delete, and you may as well go and tag it for speedy. However, I think both the other projects should be MfD'd too. StewieGriffin! • Talk 12:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- No. Again. I am saying that there are too many projects. Most of the users involved are involved in more than one. With Wikipedia being a collaborative effort, I feel that I should get involved. I will say that I do believe that yours has the most potential, but i have MfD'd it and not the rest because they have been around for a long time and have backing.
- I am actually highly interested in this one more than any, but as I said, it's just too late.
- I can see the following possible ways to proceed:
- Option 1
We reduce this one to remove Userpages
- Option Two
We keep this one, and merge into it the best of the rest, and MfD them
- Option Three
We have "yet another one"
- Option Four
We get rid of the lot, and simply have a category
- I would most prefer Option Two, but i doubt that the rest will want to go.
- This issue needs more discussion, so does anyone know where it could go to? It needs to be centralised.
- Thanks,
- BG7even 12:41, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

- How about, you give me the rest of today, and I will create something with the best of all the projects... Please. StewieGriffin! • Talk 12:44, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Or, how about, we both withdraw our MfD's, and collaborate on the best possible way forward, and then MfD all except the one that we have created? In the meantime, I am going to notify the other projects of this discussion, and see if we get more input. Ih, an d i'll archive this part, as it's deletion related, not finding a way forward related! BG7even 12:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
