[edit] User:Sd31415/Signature Book
This is basically a page that people sign, and if their signature is good enough, they receive a fair-use image. It essentially amounts to a guestbook, and Wikipedia is not a social networking site. It also doesn't help that the reward for winning is a fair-use image, which would violate WP:USER (unless that image were to go in an article instead, but the WP:NOT concern remains). - Keep - help builds community. Incidentally, users may be interested in this. Patstuarttalk|edits 02:43, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Keep, per Jimbo. The fair-use bit should be changed, though; if Sd31415 wants to award images (outside of article-space), they need to be free-content ones. Kirill Lokshin 02:46, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: I always award free images (if not, let me know), and I don't award based on signature. I also award at the end of each month (not several times per month). Many Wikipedians keep signature books. S.D. ¿п? § 02:55, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - harmless, good-natured, and conducive to the spirit of cooperation ˉˉanetode╦╩ 03:00, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- keep - no threat to the project, no violation of intentions of any policies, good expression of wikilove. Since it is in the user namespace, why get all worked-up over it? Jerry lavoie 03:01, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: Sorry for making everyone think I intended fair use. My intent was free use, and that's why I bolded the phrase. S.D. ¿п? § 03:05, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Keep I think is fairly harmless, and Jimbo has already said that it was perfectly fine. EVula // talk // ☯ // 03:11, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Keep per my userspace standard of "Is it actively harming the encyclopedia?", noting that it's rather ironic Jimbo referenced Esperanza. -Amark moo! 04:40, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
