The result of the debate was speedy close, looks like we're done here, as deletion is no longer being discussed; the reasons for the recreation were given. --Coredesat 15:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] User:Sarsaparilla/shop
Weren't these shops deleted last year? Seems like this was recreated when Vintei's shop was deleted. —BoL 04:37, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Normally I would endorse the keeping of these shops, but since they were deleted last time, and we already have a Wiki over there, I would have to agree with the people against code shops, so, in other words, delete. —BoL 04:38, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- This is not a G4 situation. See my talk page for details — this user was looking for a copy of this, not to use as a shop, but to transwiki to meta for a community proposal there. Encourage undeletion for this user. --Haemo (talk) 04:49, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just realised this. Sorry, I've totally misunderstood the whole situation. Spebi 04:50, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for the undeletion. Is there a quick way to move the whole thing over there, or do all the subpages have to be moved page-by-page? Thanks, Sarsaparilla (talk) 04:52, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

- See m:Help:Transwiki. --Haemo (talk) 04:53, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- You export it, then you import it as a sysop in your wiki. Right? —BoL 04:56, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm trying to figure it out. What about the images which are on the English Wikipedia? Is there a way to link to those? Maybe I should just re-upload those to meta. Sarsaparilla (talk) 05:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- If they're in Commons, you're good. If they're based in Wikipedia, you'll need to transwiki them to Commons. Two options:

- Have Betacommandbot do it, or

(un-indent) Well, the consensus at MFD has been to delete the shops, so the idea is to start a whole new wiki under the Wikimedia aegis for community-building stuff, which could include shops and other fun stuff that people have objected to having here. One of the reasons cited on Vintei's MFD is that it looks unprofessional; moving such content elsewhere might placate those objections. We'll see. Please note that m:Wikicommunity is just a page for the proposal of a Wikicommunity; the actual Wikicommunity hasn't been created yet, and the "Sample Shop" is just to provide an example in order to inform the debate. There might be better examples. Sarsaparilla (talk) 05:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
How did the indentation of my comments get all messed up? :) Sarsaparilla (talk) 05:20, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed. I centered my suggested, but forgot to close it. ;) —BoL 05:23, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
