This is exactly what Wikipedia is not: a social network. The user asks others to be in his friend book. This is definitely a violation of the not a social network clause. Metros (talk) 04:29, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

RyRy5, basically, just asked that this be deleted. So should this now be speedied as a user-requested deletion? Metros (talk) 04:42, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I didn't really ask, I just meant that I was hoping to see how this went. I aslo said "kind of" wanted it to be deleted. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I would like this MFD to continue.--Ryan (talk) 04:45, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

• Delete As WP:NOT#MYSPACE states, "Wikipedia is not a social network such as MySpace or Facebook." I have no problems with people using talk pages as a way to occassionally communicate about non-Wiki topics, but creating a subpage with a section entitled "Face Book" says it all. I know that section is talking about smileys, but it basically represents what this page is all about, Facebook. Also, with a heading like "If you want to be my friend, I have to trust you.", what is the prerequisite of earning this trust? If an experienced user gives you advice that you might not like, that doesn't mean they're not your WikiFriend. It means they're trying to help you become a better editor and to spend more valuable time on worthwhile edits. Also, under the friend list it states "Casey906262 goes to the same school and class as me but is not my friend really." Huh? Then why is this person even on the page? • Recuse as I'm one of the people he asked to add, and I didn't speak out against it then (mostly because I was distracted) by an AIV report. Had I thought, I probably would have advised against this page, but...
