The result of the debate was speedy keep per bad faith nomination; snowball'ed seicer | talk | contribs 22:01, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Why have userboxes in userspace. Why does a user need a personal collection when they are stored in Wikipedia space as well. What's so different about these ones? The Ultimate Ruler Dude (talk) 20:33, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. I feel that the nom was a little misguided. Potentially divisive userboxen or ones with no direct encyclopedic merit have been userfied per this discourse. ><RichardΩ612 20:42, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Comment says the guy who has the stuff. Let's see what the community thinks of it shall we? The Ultimate Ruler Dude (talk) 20:45, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy keep I was under the impression that users are allowed to have whatever they want in their userspace as long as it is civil, not libelous, and not copyrighted. J.delanoygabsadds 20:44, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- But does it help. Is it useful? The Ultimate Ruler Dude (talk) 20:45, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I see nothing on the page in question that violates Wikipedia:User page#Inappropriate_content, so this MFD is meaningless. J.delanoygabsadds 20:51, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I notice that you have lots of stuff in userspace, are you worried that that may get deleted as well. WP:ILIKEIT, remember. The Ultimate Ruler Dude (talk) 20:56, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

- Keep The nom reason is not valid in my opinion as there are no restrictions on how much space an editor may use in his/her userspace. Thingg⊕⊗ 21:01, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Is this a 'let's all come out and defend this collection so that our own userpages are not deleted' party. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THIS TO EXIST! The Ultimate Ruler Dude (talk) 21:06, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - as long as the userboxes in question do not violate policy by being offensive or divisive there are no grounds to delete them. Users have broad latitude in their userspaces. Nominator - please explain how these userboxes are against policy or hurting the project. In the absence of either policy violation or project damage there are ZERO grounds for deletion here. Exxolon (talk) 21:36, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. Nothing really against WP:U here, so I'm not seeing a real reason to delete. Also somewhat concerned that the nom may have had something to do with this. --Bfigura (talk) 21:37, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, lynch the user on the basis of one comment. Of course, I am automatically wrong due to deleting a few comments. The Ultimate Ruler Dude (talk) 21:38, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
