Fails WP:NOT. Wikipedia is not a social site, specifically Myspace. Miranda 18:43, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. Humor is fun. Fun helps make contributors happy. Happy contributors contribute better. Contributing better is good. Therefore, humor is good. -Amarkov moo! 18:46, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Aw, c'mon. Wikipedia is also a community, you know. This is just a small way to use sarcasm to compliment other editors. Keep. --Boricuaeddie 18:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep Contributors in good standing having a bit of harmless fun. Not like they're spending all their time here; if that were the case I would have motioned to remove the page. ~ Riana ⁂ 18:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: Some people on the project would not like to partake in such "fun." Regardless if this "activity" will or will not survive this MFD, I
suggestrequest that my name as well as any others who don't want to participate to be removed because this is borderline trolling. Miranda 19:03, 19 August 2007 (UTC)- Of course you can, feel free to do it yourself or I will if it's what you want. GDonato (talk) 19:05, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- (ec) If you don't like it, then just ask not to be included. You don't have to MfD it. I agree with Riana; it's not like it's the only page I've edited in weeks. --Boricuaeddie 19:06, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Forgive me, Miranda, but you may need to work on your definition of trolling. ~ Riana ⁂ 19:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

- (ec)Keep per Riana; if this was a case of people spending all their time at the page then definitely an application for WP:MYSPACE. Therefore, we may need to delete GDonato (talk · contribs) as he has commented on a few of them. Time for an EFD then :P GDonato (talk) 19:04, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep per Riana; and, as can be seen here, this page, as Boricuaeddie commented above, can be used to compliment and encourage other editors and in my book, that's not a bad thing. Farosdaughter 19:13, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep oh come on. We aren't myspace, yes, but a little bit of harmless WP:FUN never hurt anyone. This helps build the community, which is important. Avenues for editors to get to know each other that are open and not cliquish are a needed part to allow people to have fun with each other. The idea that it distracts people from the encyclopedia is hogwash-- I doubt many people spend time on it that they wouldn't chatting privately, or doing something off wiki, it's just a cute little fun thing for editors to do to roast each other, while also complementing each other, in a humourous fashion. Like any group, being social with each other is a good thing, and this isn't taking any real amount of time out of the encyclopedia. Editors need a way to interact with each other outside of writing an encyclopedia, yes, we are a free encyclopedia, but the community is the only reason that the idea works, without a sense of community wikipedia is a very dark place. I waste more time on the Reference Desks, or Jimbo's talk page, surely we aren't going to delete those because they don't ACTIVELY help write an encyclopedia. --lucid 19:19, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Question for nom - Specifically, what part of WP:NOT#MYSPACE does this violate? Since you're claiming it violates that area in particular --lucid 19:24, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- (ec x 2)Keep- Please, users who are there are consistent editors. They just want a little fun, out of creating the encyclopedia. --Hirohisat Talk 19:22, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy Keep bad faith nom. Miranda did not nominate the page for MfD till she was listed on it. Kwsn(Ni!) 19:33, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Please do be careful with accusations of bad faith, it is best not to bandy them about lightly. It may be that Miranda was only made aware of this page when she was personally informed about it. ~ Riana ⁂ 19:37, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. Wikipedia is a community. (I really should get around to writing that essay soon...) Melsaran (talk) 19:34, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
