Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:MikeWolfman

The result of the debate was Delete because the arguments to keep are speculative (that this user might start contributing some day) and the arguments to delete are factual (that he has zero edits except for his userpage, the image on it, and this MFD). >Radiant< 09:14, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User:MikeWolfman
- Delete: Part of a ring of IDs and IPs using Wikipedia as a MySpace advertising space. The IP address editing this page also edited the recently-deleted User:KILDAY. That, in turn, was also edited by lastnj (talk · contribs) whose User:LAST is also at WP:MFD as spam. —Wknight94 (talk) 17:56, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - note that all of user's edits to date have directly related to userpage. Badbilltucker 19:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Sorry but this is just my user page. I use wikipedia all the time. kilday is a friend and was just editing my grammer. I have never nor plan to spam anyone. And my pic is an original. (www.thewolfmans.com) I'd also like to know how 2 people who OBVIOUSLY know each other is considered a 'ring of IDs and IPs using Wikipedia as a MySpace advertising space'. FYI, when there are more then one computer in a home, usually, they come thru under the same ip. It's called NAT. (network address translation) MikeWolfman 23:52, 5 November 2006
- Comment - you may well use wikipedia regularly. However, by your user contribution records, all of your edits through now, barring the one above, have been to your user page, and user pages are more or less created for editors of wikipedia, not just users. Your statement that you use wikipedia is heartening, but userpages are really intended primarily for editors of wikipedia. Badbilltucker 14:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Comment - you guys need to get a life. If UserPages were made for editors, why make them available to all? What Kilday does is his business. I use wikipedia to look up things, in other words, GET INFORMATION. Isn't that what this is for? btw, according to wikipedia:user pages, I have not done anything wroing nor does it say user pages are only for editors. If you are planning on deleting my user page, I'd request an advocate prior to deleting it. The only user page I have is MikeWolfman and my primary ip addresses are 71.250.240.250 - 253 (250 = the same ip as my website). MikeWolfman
- Nice job ducking the issues I raised, i.e. why you need four accounts and three spammy user pages for two people. Read WP:NOT#Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site and WP:NOT#What your user page is not as well as the second paragraph of WP:USER#What can I have on my user page?. —Wknight94 (talk) 12:04, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep with reservations - Although the user's only edits have been made to either his user page, his userpage deletion page& a wolf picture, I'd say delete. However, he does sound quite eager to keep his account & to start contributing. If he does intend to start editing (maybe start using this account rather than an ip address) then I will vote keep. If no improvement occurs, then someone should indeed delete the page & I will be happy to support the deletion... Spawn Man 06:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Comment - actually, I don['t see anywhere where he specifically says he will start contributing, simply that he thinks as someone who uses wikipedia, he qualifies as a wikipedia user. See the links above supplied by Wknight94 which indicate that user pages were not intended to be given out quite so freely. Badbilltucker 00:11, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. And image has been tagged(unknown) for a over a week, why isn't it gone ? Jcam 01:15, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
