[edit] User:Keshe Theory
- Delete - This user page is actually an article on something called the Keshe Theory. This violates the guidelines on user pages at Wikipedia:User page, which state that user pages may not contain "extensive discussion not related to Wikipedia". The user is obviously trying to promote this theory. He has asked several people about creating a Keshe Theory article, but his sources do not look reliable (i.e. the references do not include peer-reviewed scientific journals), so it looks like an article on the subject would be deleted. If the user is allowed to keep this material on his/her user page, it will effectively circumvent these rules regarding verifiability. Therefore, this page needs to be deleted. - Delete as Wikipedia is not a free web host where you can post your vanispamcruftisement. MER-C 09:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Comment - While WP:VSCA does seem applicable here, it does not seem to address some of the other problems with this user page, such as the lack of verifiability or the fringe science viewpoints. Dr. Submillimeter 09:47, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

- Delete Completely unverified material, incapable of becoming a Wikipedia article. Also seems to be being used primarily to push a product created by the user in question. --Fritzpoll 11:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. Lacks reliable sources that describe Keshe Theory itself. Gravitational fields are being generated from rotating magnetic fields. One would have to present extremely convincing data (and overthrow much of conventional physics) to establish this theory. EdJohnston 13:56, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

- Comment: since I am no longer an active Wikipedian, I won't try to vote (if I were eligible I'd certainly vote to "delete"!), but I'd like to make two additional points. First, this user page (as of 5 June 2007) is almost identical to similar web pages put up by Keshe at his own website, so Keshe can hardly cry "suppression" should it be deleted. Second, while it is common for cranks to try to create the misleading impression that their ideas are on the verge of becoming mainstream, Keshe's page is particularly egregious in that he seems to be trying to deliberately create the misleading impression that his ideas have been "confirmed" by researchers at prestigious universities including Harvard University and my own alma mater, the University of Washington. This is absolutely not the case! To the contrary, "Keshe theory" is sheer crackpottery. This will be obvious to anyone with much knowledge of physics, but someone lacking such background might conceivably be fooled into thinking this dreck is scientifically respectable. Keshe also seems to try to suggest that his "theory" has been "vetted" by the European Patent Office. In fact, anyone can submit an arbitrarily nutty patent application, but young students might not know the difference between a patent application and a patent. All in all, while the WP community has traditionally allowed users considerable freedom in what they put in their own user space, this page really seems beyond the pale.---CH 21:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

- Comment - The images should be deleted only after the user page is deleted (just in case, for some improbable reason, the user page is kept). Dr. Submillimeter 07:00, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete; inappropriate use of user page. John Vandenberg 09:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - Misleading, improbable, unverified, and certainly doesn't belong on a user page. Eve 10:34, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
