These are userboxes for 'ranks' of members of Portal:British Army. I think it is ill-advised to create such a detailed hierarchy of 'ranks' for editors of a single portal (Wikipedia is not a military bureaucracy). The portal can maintain a list of contributors in place of 19 rank templates. Also see User:Jhfireboy/British Army Contributors, which states: "You will be given a rank by a senior officer upon request." Black Falcon (Talk) 23:51, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy, and I'm quite astonished that something like this exists for a portal. It shouldn't be here. --Coredesat 01:47, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, we shouldn't have such bureaucracy on Wikipedia. Resurgent insurgent (as admin) 03:05, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Isn't adding "(as admin)" to a comment saying we shouldn't have bureaucracy on Wikipedia a wee bit ironic? We're all equal when it comes to discussions. Lurker (said · done) 17:15, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Strong delete This is completely unacceptable on Wikipedia and contrary to our core values. This needs to go, and quickly. Lurker (said · done) 17:15, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - In a Project this would be unacceptable, in a Portal it is hard to believe.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 18:07, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Strong delete - I'm the creator of the pages. I made them when I wasn't too sure about what portals were and were not about. The only reason they are still there is becuase I never got round to feleting them myself. they have never actually been used within the portal. Jhfireboy Talk 18:29, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
