One of several userspace forks of battle of Jenin which I removed as housekeeping because they had not been edited in months. First and last edits were in October 2007, and the article has changed substantially since. I do not think Wikipedia needs abandoned forks in userspace, especially when the main article is being actively edited: the only real prupose would seem to be to easily reinsert content which has been edited away form a particular version, but I WP:AGF that the user is not intending to violate WP:OWN in this way. The encyclopaedic purpose of abandoned userspace forks of content is not clear to me. Guy (Help!) 11:22, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Page checked. material was initially edit warred out of Battle of Jenin, requires full discussion when I have the time. For the meantime moved to User:Jaakobou/Other controversies - no objection to deletion of User:Jaakobou/Temp2. Jaakobou^{Chalk Talk} 12:29, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I misread your comment and have now undeleted. Its the content being discussed not the actual page it sits so you can't save it by moveing it to a different place. I therefore moved the page back to Temp2. The stuff doesn't belong on wiki - its a fork and if its not being worked on it need to be kept off wiki please.     • Let's do this right then: (1) undo the revert, delete Temp2, and start a new MfD regarding the content on a new Other controversies page.
      p.s. can we stop with the POVFORK bad faith assumptions? I have multiple conflicts going on and this got slipped through the cracks doesn't mean that it's an actual article. It's still my personal use user-space and still a version that lasted on the article for quite some time before 3 POV editors (sample "PalestineRemembered") edit-warred it out of the article.
