Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Gp75motorsports/WikiProject AccInsure

- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the miscellaneous page below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the page's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.
The result of the debate was delete per consensus of uninvolved Wikipedians presenting persuasive reasoning. The users involved are strongly counselled to stop creating userspace groups such as this (and other previous deleted versions therein), and edit the encyclopedia. Recreations, whether identical or merely sharing the same issues, will be deal with via CSD G4 and, if required, blocking. Daniel 08:32, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User:Gp75motorsports/WikiProject AccInsure
In my opinion, this project is redundant to existing WikiProjects that are doing the same work more effectively already, and is reminiscent of a similar deleted project. Note that I believe the creators to be incorrect in this case but acting in good faith with a goal of improving the encyclopedia. This MfD should include the following pages:
- User:Gp75motorsports/WikiProject AccInsure
- User:Gp75motorsports/WikiProject AccInsure/Guestbook
- Template:TalkBlanking
- Template:BTPWarn
- Template:AccInsure 1
- Template:AccInsure 2

- Comment Yeah, it's really not needed. I'll make sure to rewrite the templates. --Gp75motorsports (talk) 21:41, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

- Delete or move templates to userspace, as redundant or unnecessary.
- Template:TalkBlanking exists at Template:Uw-tpv1.
- Template:BTPWarn is unnecessary - see WP:DENY and WP:DFTT
- Template:AccInsure_2 is not an approved template, and should not be used in article space, as it is also unnecessary. Tags are for issues, not to distract readers if nothing is wrong with a page.
- Template:AccInsure 1 is unnecessary, templates for accuracy tags are offered here, and are far more explanatory as to the specific issues.
- User:Gp75motorsports/WikiProject AccInsure/Guestbook seems to serves no purpose to improve the encyclopedia.
- The "project", "Accuracy on the Internet Alliance" seems to be a sort of club here formed by several friends, and the project is not done per Wikipedia project guidelines, as it appears to have the appointing of "presidents" and a "board of directors", (see here, and here) etc.
- I'm sure the editor means well, but I think that much of this is not needed, and is better served by the established processes that already exist. Ariel♥Gold 02:10, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete all. Serves no purpose that, if this actually accomplished its goals, isn't already served by existing processes. The whole thing smacks too much of the now-deleted Wikipedia Users' Alliance that was deleted last month - Wikipedia is still not a bureaucracy. Hopefully no sermons will show up on this MFD like they did then. --Coredesat 20:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'd like to add that if these are deleted, the user's contributions should be monitored for a little while, given the discussion on his user talk page in the wake of the previous MFD, and any other attempts to create a group like this should be deleted per G4. --Coredesat 20:11, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Comment The AIA is not a WikiProject; it will monitor several other sites as well. Notice I said "will"-it is not organized yet. --Gp75motorsports 20:20, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete all. This sort of thing is really redundant and serves no useful purpose. Gents, try things that more directly benefit building an encyclopedia. — Rlevse • Talk • 22:30, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete all per nom Tavix 23:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- I founded the AIA...BUT NOT AS A WIKIPEDIA GROUP...gPMOTORSPORTS75 acted on his own and created a wiki project page. I condone this action and support the deletion of this page. Also Gpmotorsports75 was appointed as our acting president and because of this action we are considering removing him from his postion. Futher more the AIA exists to insure accuacy on the internet, however we have no webpage or anything like that. We contact each ohter by email...I myself told Gpmotorsports75 not to create a wikiproject type page. I apoligize for his actions.--Greenwood1010 15:10, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Also I want to make sure everyone understands this...we do not work with just wiki members...I am not trying to form a wikiproject group or anything like that. I plan on (way in the future) making a website. Our purpose is to go to different websites and make sure the info is correct. We aren't just wikipedia, in fact most of our members don't have a wikipedia account...or even use wikipedia. Delete this page because the Leaders at the AIA don't want a wikiproject page...we didn't authorize it. (i am writng very fast so excuse the spelling!)--Greenwood1010 15:21, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- I Have To Go
The Leadership of the AIA can not be held responible for the indepent actions of Gp75motorsports. We are an indepent group. He created, on his own, a wikiproject page. We condone his actions and request that this page deleted right away. Thank you--Greenwood1010 16:30, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Comment The AIA doesn't even have a WikiProject page, as it's not a WikiProject. Ths is something totally unrelated. --Gp75motorsports 04:29, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
