If the result of this MfD is "delete", the following pages become eligible for speedy deletion per CSD G6 (housekeeping): User:Gerinych/Project:LPLyrics/Feedback page, User:Gerinych/Project:LPLyrics/Userbox, User:Gerinych/Project:LPLyrics/Userbox2, and Category:Users who contribute to Project LPLyrics.

Please note that this is not a WikiProject (as stated by the author). These pages constitute an attempt to do one of two things:

  1. Create a personal directory of albums, songs, or lyrics by Linkin Park.
  2. Create a duplicate set of articles of albums and songs by Linking Park (i.e. a "fork").

Neither is an appropriate use of userspace and both go against the principle that Wikipedia is not a personal webhost. Any editor who is interested in collaborating on articles related to Linkin Park may join Wikipedia:WikiProject Linkin Park. So, delete all. Black Falcon (Talk) 15:50, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Comment: There are some obvious problems, such as all of the fair use images being displayed in user space. Has anyone asked User:Gerinych about his/her intentions for this content? -MrFizyx 22:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
    • The user has been only sporadically active since August 11, but I've left a request for participation on his/her talk page. As far as I could determine (from the third sentence of User:Gerinych/Project:LPLyrics and the section titled "Current project status"), the purpose of the project is to amass a collection of the lyrics of songs by Linkin Park. – Black Falcon (Talk) 00:28, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Delete. Song lyrics are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced in Wikipedia, other than the use of brief excerpts in articles for the purpose of commentary. While there's only one (fragmentary) set of lyrics right now, the subproject appears to be aimed at creating more; this can't be allowed to continue. Zetawoof(ζ) 02:05, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Delete lyrics are copyrighted and should not appear on Wikipedia, this page uses fair-use images which is not allowed outside mainspace, and this does look like an attempt to fork content. Hut 8.5 10:47, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Delete, due to copyvio of lyrics. I also noticed that User:Gerinych/Project:LPLyrics/Hybrid Theory EP is redundant due to the already-existing and much more developed Hybrid Theory EP article. --Kyoko 17:08, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Delete all (1) Userspace essays that serves the primary documentation for any Wikipedia policy, guideline, practice, or concept (e.g., WikiProject) may be deleted per WP:UP.
