The page is rather inapropriate and unencyclopedic for a user page I think. It doesn't seem to apply with WP:USER. An unofficial wikipedia competition does simply not work as looking as the previous tourtement it was extremely one sided and impossible for anything to change due to the massive gaps in edit counts, etc. By the looks of things it simply hasn't worked, think of the user troubles this could cause, generally I think it is a waste of space, wikipedia isn't a social project or any kind of competiton, remember Esperazna, that didn't work either. - Weak delete- even though it seems more or less fun, it is a bit too social for wikipedia, we don't do competitions. WP:NOT. Dr Nat (talk) 19:06, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - challenges editing skills, and is a good bit of fun. Sunderland06 19:41, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - I knew this day would come. Intended as a bit of fun, think it challenges the skills of an editor, would get more people into editing, and if we can come up with a better marking system, there won't be as bigger gulf in class. People would surely edit more if they had the added incentive to win a picture of a trophy. // F9T 19:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Great idea. I love it. Fun. Keep. HPJoker Leave me a message 02:01, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - What's wrong with some incentive and a fun way to encourage people to edit more? Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, but it doesn't mean we can't have fun or be social. jj137 (talk) 02:36, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Friendly competition that encourages editing of Wikipedia's articles is obviously a good thing. There are other friendly competitions such as the Reward Board, or Durova's triple crown. My user page isn't encyclopedic either. --JayHenry (talk) 03:21, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep The competition is fun, and encourages editing. I don't see any reasons why this page should be deleted. It's a subpage in the User: namespace, anyway, I thought users could create all kinds of stuff in their namespaces! Artyom (talk • contribs) 08:14, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
